Kids / Teens Yoga

Children's yoga sessions are meaningful, engaging and impactful. This comes about by ensuring the true essence of yoga is maintained.

Impactful yoga for children and teens goes beyond game-based sessions. It provides a solid physical, mental and emotional foundation that will last for a lifetime. It builds:

Sessions are tailored for various age groups: 3-4 yrs old; 5-8 yrs old; 9-12 years old and teens up to 18.

Session can also be tailored for the individual needs of your child. Sessions follow a meridian based therapy schedule and are available as general yoga sessions or private tailored sessions to aid conditions such as, but not limited to:

  • Lower back issues
  • Digestion
  • Lungs
  • Weight
  • Diabetes
  • Recurring Coughs, Colds and Sore Throats
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Depression
  • Mental Health
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

Yoga therapy uses exercises, asanas, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, diet suggestions and more. It encompasses a whole body holistic approach. We work with corrective exercises to help bring the body back into balance and breathing and relaxation techniques to help calm the mind and body. This is done as we detox the body, build strength in muscles safely all while learning about how our bodies work and providing tools that are the foundation for our kids to succeed in all areas of their lives; mentally, physically and emotionally.

Lyn is a Registered Yoga Teacher with specialties in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Aroma Yoga, Trauma Aware Yoga, Chair Yoga, Women's Health Yoga, and Yoga Therapy.

Lyn is also a 95 Hr Accredited Kids Yoga Teacher having trained with Loraine Rushton from Zenergy Yoga, who sets the Children's Yoga standards in Australia. Lyn is also a Kids Mindfulness Practitioner. Lyn holds a current First Aid and CPR Certificate with St John Ambulance Australia and also the Blue Card (Working with Children) and is registered with Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia.

Lyn is currently working on Pre and Postnatal Teacher Training and Yoga Nidra Teacher Training specialties.

Classes are for 1 hour sessions.
