Salt Dough Diffuser Ornament

An alternative to oven-baked clay diffuser ornaments, you can make these salt dough ornaments. Both are great ideas to get the kids helping. Combine with a bottle of essential oil, and you have a lovely stocking stuffer or gift for friends, family and teachers.

• 1 cup all-purpose Flour

• 1/2 cup Salt

• 1/2 cup warm Water

• Drinking straw

• Cookie cutters

• String

• Stamps

• Paint

• Essential Oil(s) of your choice

Preheat the oven to 250°. Mix salt, flour and warm water in a large bowl. Knead until all dough is smooth. If too dry, add a dash of water until it comes together. Roll out dough on a floured surface until 1/4 inch. Cut out dough with a cookie cutter. Place on parchment paper. Using a drinking straw make a hole on the top. Bake in the oven for 2 hours. Once cool, decorate. Add oil to each ornament and decorate your home. Add oils when needed.
